- 죽변면 후정리 일원 약 44만 평(145만 ㎡) 규모에 총사업비 약 4000억 원이 투입되며 직간접경제 효과 약 17조 원, 고용 창출 3만8000명의 파급효과가 기대된다.
- GS건설, 현대엔지니어링, 롯데케미칼, 삼성E&A, SK에코플랜트 등 국내 주요 대기업들과의 입주 협약도 잇따르며 수소산업 클러스터 구축이 가시화되고 있다.
France Confirms Latest Cost Estimate Of €37 Billion For Cigéo Nuclear Repository
- A ministerial decree published in France has confirmed the latest cost estimate of the planned Cigéo deep geologic spent nuclear fuel repository at €37bn including taxes – of which €9.7bn is for initial construction.
- National nuclear waste agency Andra, which is responsible for the Cigéo project, said amount was calculated using economic conditions of January 2025.
- The latest cost estimate provides waste producers with the information needed to adjust their provisions and dedicated funds.
Rolls-Royce SMR Signs Landmark Agreement For Three Reactors At Wylfa
- Rolls-Royce SMR and UK government body Great British Energy - Nuclear (GBE-N) have signed a contract that enables work to start immediately on the delivery of three Rolls-Royce small modular reactors (SMRs) at Wylfa, in North Wales.
- The three-unit project at Ynys Môn will generate at least 1,400 MW, supplying enough stable, clean electricity to power the equivalent of around three million of today’s homes for more than 60 years.
- Rolls-Royce SMR was selected as the preferred technology partner in June 2025, and £2.6bn (€2.9bn, $3.4bn) was allocated by the government towards this contract and wider programme delivery.
