한전이 원전 수출 총괄…정부, 원전수출진흥법 제정 추진
- 정부가 한국전력을 원전 수출 총괄기관으로 지정하는 내용을 골자로 관련 법 제정에 나선 것으로 확인됐다.
- 5일 관련 업계에 따르면 산업통상부는 연내 '원전수출진흥법'(가칭) 제정을 추진 중인데 이번법안은 원전 공기업의 수출 체계와 운영 방안을 법적으로 규정해 글로벌 수주 시장에서의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 조치다.
- 정부는 한전에 강력한 총괄 권한을 부여하는 동시에 원전 수출 리스크 관리를 강화하기 위한 법적 장치도 마련한다.
Second Indian fuel cycle complex gets operating licence
- The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board has issued an operating licence for the NFC-Kota fuel plant at Rawatbhata in Rajasthan.
- The Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) is an industrial unit of India's Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) which manufactures fuel for India's pressurised heavy water reactors in its safeguarded facilities at Hyderabad.
- NFC-Kota is a second PHWR fuel plant set up to meet the needs of India's planned fleet of indigenously designed 700 MWe PHWRs, three of which - Rajasthan Atomic Power Project unit 7 and Kakrapar units 3 and 4 - are already in operation.
New Venture Appointed Project Manager For Planned Restart Of Abandoned Summer Nuclear Project
- Global investment firm Brookfield and nuclear project development and delivery company The Nuclear Company will form a joint venture to develop nuclear projects using US company Westinghouse's reactor technology.
- The Summer project will now be known as the Fairfield County nuclear project, a statement said
- They said the Fairfield County project is one of the most execution-ready nuclear development opportunities in the US.
