Nuclear Supply Chain Needs More Capacity And Capability, Says WNA Head
- A significant increase in nuclear supply chain capacity and capability will be needed to deliver a 500-GW projected expansion of nuclear power globally by 2050, Sama Bilbao y León, director-general of the World Nuclear Association (WNA), told an event in Warsaw, Poland.
- According to Bilbao y León, WNA analysis has shown there will be an investment opportunity for the global supply chain valued at about $2tn (€1.76tn) over the next 15 years as demand for nuclear power is expected to grow.
Any US-Iran deal should include 'robust' IAEA inspections, Grossi says
- Any deal between Iran and the U.S. that would impose fresh nuclear curbs on Iran should include "very robust" inspections by the U.N. nuclear watchdog, International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi said on Wednesday.
- While the talks have appeared to be at an impasse, with the U.S. repeatedly saying Iran should not be allowed to refine uranium at all and Tehran saying that is a red line since enrichment is its inalienable right, Grossi said that gap was not impossible to bridge.

- 체코 정부가 한국수력원자력(한수원)과의 약 26조 원(4,000억 코루나) 규모 신규 원전 건설 사업의 계약을 오는 10월 열리는 총선 후에 체결할 수 있다는 외신 보도가 나왔다.
- 27일(현지 시각) 체코 CTK 통신은 “두코바니 원전 건설 사업의 최종 계약이 현 정부 임기가끝나는 10월 안에 체결되지 않을 수 있다”라고 보도했다. 총선 전 계약 여부에 대해 피알라 총리가 ‘모르겠다’라고 답하자, 원전 계약 시점이 10월 이후로 미뤄질 수 있다는 해석이 현지 매체에서 나온 것이다.
