KHNP, EMA to cooperate on Singapore SMR study
- KHNP has signed a memorandum of understanding with Singapore's Energy Market Authority to cooperate on civil nuclear energy, particularly SMRs.
- EMA - a statutory board under the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry - noted this "is the first MoU on civil nuclear energy cooperation between a Korean nuclear power company and a Singapore government agency".

- 이 대통령은 “원전 분야에서 실질 협력을 강화해 나가기로 했다”며 “바탄 원전 재개 타당성 조사 결과와 신규 원전 사업 양해각서(MOU)를 기초로 양국은 최적의 원전협력 파트너로 자리매김하게 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
- 바탄 원전은 필리핀에 있는 유일한 원전으로 체르노빌 원전 사고 여파 등으로 1980년대 중반 공사가 중단됐다.
- 양국은 기존 협력에서 한발 더 나아가 필리핀의 신규 원전 도입 과정에서도 더 긴밀한 협력을 이어갈 계획이다.
